Welcome the official website of the Illinois Strongman Association (ILSA). My name is Anthony Soucie, President of the Illinois Strongman Association.

The goal of this website is to promote strength sports specifically in Illinois and surrounding areas.

A little history:

Since 1996 we've been involved in one way or another with strength sports. In 1997 John Beatty started the Illinois Strongest Man located at TK Wendles Sports Bar and Grill just outside Urbana, IL. In 2001 we were the 7th state to join the North American Strongman Society, a grassroots strongman organization. NASS later became NAS Inc. If you count the years of unsanctioned meets, Illinois has one of the longest histories within the sport of amateur strongman.
